Dear Friends,
As 2018 comes to a close, we find ourselves reflecting on the tremendous year we've had once again at Circus Juventas -- a year that would have been impossible without all of you: our patrons and parents, our donors and volunteers...our circus family.
From our Spring Celebration Performances featuring 850 of our beginning- and intermediate-level students to this summer's sold-out, smash production of STEAM, both of our performance seasons were tremendous -- something we hope to replicate again in 2019. We truly love putting on our shows, as they highlight the hard work our students and coaches put in while training in our year-round program.
Speaking of shows, while our productions always receive rave reviews, it's no secret that we can't say the same of our seating system, which is why this year's Give to the (Gluteus) Max(imus) campaign was all about #cushiesfortushies. In just one day of giving, we raised $6,000 toward the purchase of new seat cushions for every seat in the house! Our performers are known for busting their butts, but that doesn't mean we want our patrons doing the same, so we'll be continuing our drive toward our $20,000 goal on GiveMN to bring plush comfort to all the tushies in the house - hopefully in time for our 2019 spring shows!
New to Circus Juventas this year is our sustaining member program, Club Circojuvo. By becoming a sustaining donor, members receive special access to events and other benefits, like presale tickets to our summer productions. If any current donor not already a part of Club Circojuvo would like a taste of those benefits (including those that donate through their workplace!), please send an email to nicole@circusjuventas.organd she can get you set up.
With our 25-year anniversary year kicking off in April 2019, we're going to have an extraordinary year full of festivities. We're in the process of finalizing some truly spectacular celebrations and can't wait to share the news with all of you. With the new season also comes new community partnership opportunities for small businesses and larger sponsorship opportunities for those interested in prominent brand visibility. We can't wait to see the new partnerships that we'll form!
Also new to 2019 is our determined drive to find a new registration system so we can more effectively serve our students and families. We've begun investigating options and are pursuing grant opportunities to fund this venture. We're confident all the work our administrative team accomplishes -- including registering almost 1,000 students in year-round classes, scheduling specialty workshops, managing summer day camps, and compiling logistics for those 850 spring show performers and their 1,200 costumes -- would be a breeze with a new system.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way -- your donations, ticket purchases, and volunteer time are critical to making this organization a success.
